Olive cultivation, a historical legacy in the Spanish countryside

Salva un Olivo is a company dedicated to the cultivation of traditional olive trees. In addition to harvesting unique-tasting olives and producing first-quality olive oil using traditional agricultural methods, one of our goals is the preservation of olive culture, one of the most iconic and ancient trees cultivated in Spain. We are the leading country in olive cultivation, as Spain has over 2.5 million hectares of olive groves and accounts for 50% of the world’s olive oil production.

The olive tree, in addition to providing a fundamental product for Spanish cuisine, is also a symbol of life, peace, and tradition. At Salva un Olivo, we are strong advocates of its culture and cultivate it with the same respect and passion as our ancestors did for centuries. All of this, with a strong environmental commitment and care for the surroundings.

Protect olive culture by adopting one of our centenary trees

Protect olive culture by adopting one of our centenary trees

At Salva un Olivo we want to make you part of our cause. To do so, we have launched a project where you can support our goal of preserving the culture of traditional olive cultivation. Adopt a centenary olive tree from our plantation and join us to ensure that such a deeply rooted and environmentally beneficial practice is not lost.

To participate in the adoption initiative, simply contact our team, and we will inform you about how it works. It involves making an annual economic contribution, and in exchange, we will send you all the olive oil produced by the fruits of your adopted tree. We will also place a plaque with your name next to the tree and send you photos so you can follow its evolution and growth.

Prevention of erosion

Prevention of erosion

Due to their roots, olive trees play a role in protecting the soil and preventing erosion. In this sense, this symbolic tree helps avoid desertification in especially arid areas.

Drought resistance

Drought resistance

The olive tree is highly resistant to drought due to its ability to retain and conserve water in the soil. In this way, it promotes sustainable farming in dry areas, helping to maintain biodiversity.

Fire barrier

Fire barrier

Olive trees also serve as an effective natural barrier against fires due to their high fire resistance. This provides greater safety for other species in the event of a fire.
